Loyalty brings
royalties or catty connections?
The first advice is
always to be mindful of what comes to mind and creates a thought and teases
your mouth. Whether you have decided to go at it alone or join a team on the
same track or path to where you would like to be. There are simplistic rules of engagement
associated with your long-term business goals. The loyalty to yourself should
always set the tone to the royalties you have objectified. In order to
accomplish successfully one must be aware of your surroundings that are imperative. The audience will ultimately define our
future. Making a wrong move will loop you into a web of catty connections. I know you’re asking what those are. That is
a series of individuals (male & female) that demean their competition while
glorifying you and what you can do for them, usually blaming others for their
stunted growth and enjoy trying to sabotage another person’s work. That is not
a web that produces royalties. It is easy to get caught in this web because the
bait is just that tempting. Here are
some tips on how to spot the catty connections set traps and remain loyal to
self while bringing royalties to yourself and whatever ventures you are a part
of.
1) Networking is more than just exchanging
cards it’s about scanning the room and being aware of what type of crowd. While
doing that your assessing what can be of benefit to you or the company you represent 2) Introduce yourself and keep it brief. ( around the time that the bait is introduced)
3 3) Make sure to remain in control of the flow
of the conversation by all means redirect when they begin to inspect you or the
company.
4 4) Gracefully bow out and in doing so the
unspoken loyalty is communicated and you walk away with a reassured confidence.
If you follow these
simple steps you will most definitely avoid the catty connection. There are no
guarantees in life or in business. But with ethic taking a backseat in a lot of
deals nowadays I just had to share because I care. Your loyalties solicit
royalties to reward you. That loyalty should always
triumph over the catty conversation that only connects you to more.
